Analyst, Research (2-year Renewable Contract)

Responsibilities

• Develop the business intelligence tool by working closely with IT Department to ensure user’s friendliness of the reporting functions and on time production of regular reports
• Prepare checking mechanism and alert system to check the data feed/inputs into the database to ensure data cleanliness and reliability before release to users
• Liaise with Immigration Department on the regular and ad-hoc delivery schedule of  tourism data and evaluate the room of future enhancement so that more in depth analysis can be carried out
• Undertake various research projects, events tracking surveys, and others thematic or topical studies to ensure the projects are properly executed, completed on time and within budget
• Maintain close communication with Performance Analysis team and other internal users to ensure continuous enhancement of the deliverables/reports from the business intelligence tool

Requirements

• Degree holder preferably in Statistics/Quantitative Analysis/Mathematics/Business Administration/Social Science or equivalent
• At least 4 years practical experience in marketing research and quantitative analysis
• Strong PC skills, especially in MS office and statistical software e.g. SAS, SPSS
• Knowledge or experience in data warehouse and data mining will be an advantage
• Knowledge or experience in sophisticated analysis and data processing skills
• Knowledge or experience in tourism will be an advantage
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills and detail-minded
• Strong project management skill and knowledge including fieldwork operation and quality assurance
• Meticulous, well organized and has ability to prioritize and work under pressure
• Highly self-motivated with passion in growing the tourism industry for Hong Kong
